Privacy Policy
Last updated
This policy explains what personal information we collect through xsphere.co, why we collect it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. We have written it in plain language rather than legal shorthand.
1. Who we are
Xsphere Technologies Co., Ltd. (“Xsphere”, “we”, “us”) is a software development company based in Myanmar. We build custom software for clients and operate our own products, including Fary and Room.
This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, xsphere.co. It is the controller of the information described here.
2. Information we collect
We collect information you give us directly, and a limited amount of technical information collected automatically when you browse.
Information you give us:
- Contact and enquiry details — your name, email address, phone number, company and the content of your message when you contact us or request a consultation.
- Appointment bookings — the details you submit when booking a meeting slot, including your preferred date and time.
- Job applications — your name, contact details, CV or résumé, work history, education and anything else you include in your application or attachments.
Information collected automatically:
- Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, device type and screen size.
- Usage data — pages visited, time spent, referring page and links clicked.
- Cookies and similar technologies — see section 5.
We do not ask for payment card details, government identity numbers or other sensitive categories of personal information through this website.
3. How we use your information
We use personal information to:
- Respond to your enquiries and provide the information or proposal you asked for.
- Arrange and manage meetings and consultations you book with us.
- Assess job applications and communicate with you about recruitment.
- Operate, secure and improve the website, including diagnosing faults and understanding which content is useful.
- Send you updates you have asked to receive, and keep a record of your preferences.
- Meet our legal, accounting and regulatory obligations, and establish or defend legal claims.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to make automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you.
4. Our basis for processing
Where the law requires us to identify a legal basis, we rely on the following:
- Your consent — for non-essential cookies and analytics, and for marketing messages. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Performance of a contract, or steps leading up to one — for responding to enquiries, preparing proposals and managing engagements.
- Our legitimate interests — for keeping the website secure and reliable, understanding how it is used, and recruitment.
- Legal obligation — where we must retain or disclose information to comply with applicable law.
5. Cookies and analytics
Cookies are small files stored on your device. We use strictly necessary cookies to make the site work — for example to remember your language choice between English and Burmese.
Where we use analytics to measure traffic and improve the site, those cookies are set only with your consent, and the resulting reports are aggregated rather than used to identify you individually.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Blocking strictly necessary cookies may stop parts of the site working as intended.
6. Who we share information with
We share personal information only where it is necessary, and we require anyone acting on our behalf to protect it and use it only for the purpose we specify. The categories are:
- Service providers — hosting, content delivery, email delivery, analytics and recruitment tooling that we use to run the website and our business.
- Professional advisers — lawyers, accountants and auditors, where they need the information to advise us.
- Authorities and other parties — where disclosure is required by law, or necessary to protect our rights, your safety or the safety of others.
- A buyer or successor — if we sell or reorganise part of our business, information may transfer as part of that transaction.
7. International transfers
Some of the service providers we rely on store or process information outside Myanmar. Where information is transferred across borders, we take reasonable steps to ensure it remains protected to the standard described in this policy, including through contractual commitments with those providers.
8. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as we need it for the purpose we collected it, or as long as the law requires.
- Enquiries that do not lead to an engagement — kept for a limited period, then deleted.
- Client and project records — kept for the duration of the engagement and for the period afterwards required by contract, accounting and tax rules.
- Job applications — kept for the recruitment process, and afterwards only if you agree to us keeping your details on file for future openings.
- Website logs and analytics — kept for a short, rolling period.
When information is no longer needed we delete it or anonymise it so it can no longer be linked to you.
9. Security
We use technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk, including encryption of traffic in transit, access controls that limit who can see personal information, and review of the third parties we rely on.
No website or transmission method is completely secure. If you believe your information has been exposed, or you have found a security problem with this site, please contact us at the address in section 12 so we can investigate.
10. Your rights
Subject to applicable law, you can ask us to:
- Confirm what personal information we hold about you, and give you a copy.
- Correct information that is inaccurate or incomplete.
- Delete information where we no longer have a reason to keep it.
- Restrict or object to how we use your information.
- Withdraw consent you previously gave, including for marketing or analytics.
To make a request, write to us using the details in section 12. We will ask for enough information to confirm who you are, and we will respond within the time required by applicable law. Exercising these rights is free, and you will not be treated differently for doing so.
11. Children
This website is intended for businesses and professionals, and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
12. Our mobile products
This policy covers the xsphere.co website only. Our products Fary and Room are separate services, and because they collect different information — such as location, contact details and messages — each has its own privacy policy, presented in the app and on its store listing.
If you use Fary or Room, please read the policy for that product. This website policy does not describe or govern how those apps handle your information.
13. Changes and contact
If we change this policy we will update the date at the top of the page, and where the change is significant we will make that clear on the site.
For questions about this policy or to exercise any of the rights in section 10, contact us at privacy@xsphere.co, or write to Xsphere Technologies Co., Ltd., Yangon, Myanmar.
